I think by this point in Cartoon Network’s history we could qualify the shows premiering as being the second generation of originals. The first generation of originals like Dexter’s Lab were premiering its final seasons, and Powerpuff Girls was entering its second phase, which were being produced under different creative control then the original seasons. They were even being animated digitally as opposed to the cel process of the earlier seasons. That didn’t mean Cartoon Network wasn’t debuting new classics, things were just different. Let’s get to it...
Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones? (2002) ran for two seasons. The main character’s voice was originally supplied by Junior, the synthetic voice on Word98, though it was replaced by human Bobby Block in season two and retroactively throughout season one. Unfortunately, there have been no home media releases of either season.
